Photographer travels with the final US troops to go away Iraq, crossing the border into Kuwait

Beneath the quilt of night, America’s battle in Iraq ended. It was known as a “Tactical Street March” and consisted of five separate actions, all aimed at getting America’s last troopers out of Iraq safely. First a team left to clear the route of any roadside bombs. Then the troops left in 4 totally different groups. In all, the motion had about a hundred and ten vehicles and 500 troops. The vacation spot was Kuwait. When the roughly five-hour drive was over, it marked the end of America’s practically nine-yr war in Iraq. AP photographer Maya Alleruzzo journeyed with the 3rd Brigade across the border from Iraq into Kuwait, documenting the last automobiles and the final soldiers to go away the country - and the aid they felt after making it successfully to Kuwait.

Interesting. I hope to see the pictures that he have taken during this historical event. Thank God we are finally out of there. I feel bad to all those who have died on both sides.
